Toe fungus treatments?
I have had toe fungus for about three years, and I'm so sick of it. I'm a swimmer, and people are always asking me why I put my shoes back on after I swim my events at meets, and in the Aikido dojo I train at I wear shoes while everyone else is barefoot. It's so annoying and embarrassing. So I've recently been looking for cures. I've heard about listerine, and vinegar, which I'll probably try, but I also heard about the fungus not liking acid and possibly dying from it. I thought of using these acne pads I have that have some type of acid in them to treat the fungus. Would it work? Any other remedies? If you've had toe fungus but don't anymore, tell me how you treated it and how long you treated it until it went away. Also, is it possible for it to go away? I'm seriously doubting that, because in three years of thinking that, mine has gotten worse and spread, so it now affects all of my toes on my right foot, and the reason I'm suddenly really serious about treating it is that it's starting to show u on my left foot as well.

Listerine works real well. I'm an athlete and realized I had toe nail fungus when I was clipping my nails. I soaked my toes in Listerine and it was slowly going away after about 2 or 3 weeks, and after 2 months it was completely gone. It's been 2 years now, and I haven't seen any signs of fungus yet. All you need to do is soak you toes in Listerine for about 15 minutes every day, and the fungus will go away.

Whats the best toe fungus treatment available and where can i buy it?
i have toe nail fungus on both of my big toes
Arline Burnett answers:
Go to a doctor and get a prescription for generic Terbinafine. You have to take pills to get over toenail fungus.
Steven asks…
are there treatments of yellow toe fungus besides prescription?
Arline Burnett answers:
If you mean 'toenail' fungus, then the answer is NO. Only a prescription can help. Even with a prescription it is very difficult to clear up toenail fungus. If you meant foot fungus, then over-the-counter products like Lamistal cream will do the job. This is not work on toenails.

Toe Nail Fungus? Cures? Treatments?
Hello when my sister was in college she got fungus, then it spread to me and my Mom =( So now I have had toe fungus since high school. And it's gotten worse! Two of them are really big and now even my big toe has fungus. I hate it!! I can't go swimming with my friends or take off my shoes. Its embarssing. My sis used lamisil last year and it worked for her, but isn't lamisil bad for you? Like bad for your kidneys and stuff? Does anybody know of any remedies that actually work? please Help
Arline Burnett answers:
Hi there. I work for a large insurance company in the pharmacy department so I can give you some advice on this. Lamisil is very effective at treating nail fungus. Some people do have side effects but they are rare and all drugs run the risk of side effects. Your doctor would be able to advise you on any possible risk but I can assure you that risk is minimal. Lamisil works from within your body to fight the fungal infection from the inside. Topical creams and soaking solutions tend to not work because they do not penetrate to the root of the infection. Lamisil will take approximately 6 weeks to cure fungus in fingernails and 3 months for toenails. I had nail fungus and even though Lamisil isn't cheap by all means, it works. Of course the best person to ask is your doctor.
